The Aircraft List is structured to provide a Portal for review and research of aircraft and the evolution of its design and deployment. Because this site is focused on aircraft design, the various aircraft type listings contain aircraft that where designed or have been deployed for that specific use. Also aircraft are grouped by their prototype's first flight to identify evolution. The lists were complied using
the work from the List of 2892 Airplane Names compiled by Ed Rouen (March Field Air Museum.
Each aircraft has an Information & Data frame that is accessed by clicking on it's number next to its thumbnail picture. As an information Portal, many of the links open other data sites for the aircraft's information. If there is other information and data you would like to see displayed, please let us know!
For a Sample of the Aircraft Information Frame - Under Fighers, click on the F-4's thumbnail name.
- Photos - The goal is to have shots from the front - quarter - side - rear - cockpit, wing, etc. of each aircraft for design comparison and review. Note: This is a new site and photos are in the process of being scanned or loaded into the pages.
